Deadfall Adventures developer The Farm 51 will launch its first-person shooter Get Even for next-generation consoles and Windows PC in 2015, according to the game's official website.
Get Even was revealed last month during the French Game Connection conference. The game is a first-person shooter that seeks to bend the boundaries of single-player and multiplayer campaigns; players can jump into another's single-player campaign at any time and impersonate the A.I enemies.
Players will also be given the opportunity to experience Get Even's story from the perspective of the title's two opposing protagonists. Gameplay for either side of the story is different and the plot will unravel through exploration and interaction with the environment, "rather than the standard usage of cut scenes and dialogues."
Get Even also uses 3D scans of real-world locations and people to build the game world. According to the game's website, as translated by NeoGAF user "Dave1988," The Farm 51 has worked with specialists and research institutes to develop the technology used to render Get Even.
"We do not seek direct confrontation with the giants of the FPS market," The Farm 51 studio head and co-founder Wojtek Pazdur said in a press statement. "Even if we had the opportunity to take the glove in the battle for the marketing and production scale, it does not interest us. This genre can still offer something fresh and now the market has opened up for unusual solutions. Players become hungry for new experiences that are not based on the Hollywood model of narrative and game design story and lapping challenges in two separate domains. We're creating Get Even for such players."
