In addition to WWE Immortals, NetherRealm is working on Mortal Kombat X, which will be released for consoles and PC in 2015.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been delayed!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red has pushed back the game's release to May 19, 2015, the studio announced today.

The new date represents a delay of three months — CD Projekt Red had said in June that it planned to launch The Witcher 3 on Feb. 24, 2015. That announcement followed the news in March that the studio had pushed back the game into February 2015 from its original launch window of late 2014.

"We owe you an apology. We set the release date too hastily," said the board of CD Projekt today, in an open letter posted on the website for The Witcher.

"It's a hard lesson, one to take to heart for the future. We know what we want to do to makeWild Hunt one of the best RPGs you will ever play. And we continue to work hard to achieve just that. So, we apologize and ask for your trust."

CD Projekt cited a desire to "limit any bugs" as one of the main reasons for delaying The Witcher 3, along with "the sheer size and complexity" of the game.

"Now, nearing the end of our work, we see many details that need to be corrected. When we release the most important game in our studio's history, we must be absolutely sure that we did everything we could to limit any bugs to a level that will allow you to enjoy the game thoroughly," said CD Projekt. "With this in mind, we took another look at current workloads and what they mean for the team. Even though everyone is working at full speed, we concluded that we need another 12 weeks."

Valve is adding support for built-in streaming from Steam!

Valve is adding wide support for built-in streaming from Steam with Steam Broadcasting, the developer announced today. With Steam Broadcasting, players will be able to broadcast and watch live gameplay streams with friends or broadcast gameplay to the public.

The feature gives Steam users an alternative to third-party streaming services like Twitch and Ustream.

Valve says Steam's new broadcasting feature is "designed for ease of use, allowing anyone to view a friend's game by simply clicking on 'Watch Game' on their Friend's profile or Friend's List to open a window into their gameplay - no game ownership, special fees, or additional apps required."

Steam Broadcasting is part of the Steam beta client, and users will need to opt-in to use the feature and update their privacy settings in order to broadcast. Broadcasts from Steam are available to watch through the service's community hub.

Currently, Steam Broadcasting supports a handful of web browsers: Google Chrome, Apple's Safari and the Steam client itself. Since the service is still in beta, Steam Broadcasting doesn't feature support for archiving players' livestreams or monetizing them.

More details about the Steam Broadcasting beta are available in a FAQ published by Valve.

Assassin's Creed Victory confirmed for fall 2015

2015's Assassin's Creed game has leaked, and it takes place in 19th century London during the Victorian era, Kotaku reports.

According to "a person familiar with the game," it's called (either officially or internally) Assassin's Creed Victory, and it's coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in fall 2015.

Kotaku also reports seeing seven minutes of "target gameplay footage," which they say was produced in Assassin's Creed's engine, and thus was not pre-rendered.

In the video, the assassin climbs a tower to get a view of the city, descends, enters a carriage, and accepts a contract to kill a man. When the carriage is attacked, the assassin battles on top of the moving vehicle. The fight makes its way to a train station where the assassin ascends to the high ground, swings across the station using a grappling hook -- a new item for the series -- and takes out the target.

Ubisoft has responded with the following comment: (Via IGN)

"It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we're disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we're excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin's Creed Unity for players."

Rockstar Games has unveiled two custom Grand Theft Auto V designs for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

To celebrate the launch of GTA V on the next-gen consoles, the studio is offering the limited-edition PS4 and Xbox One as the grand prizes in two separate giveaways.

"Both of these individually hand-fabricated consoles features an exclusive black-on-black Grand Theft Auto V design, laser etched on micro perforated metal paneling with hi-gloss deep green painted accents and a custom color-matched controller," according to Rockstar's website.

The company will also be giving away 20 runners-up Deluxe Prize packs of new GTA V gear and collectibles. The items featured in the prize will eventually be available for purchase over at the Rockstar Warehouse, but sadly, the consoles are only available through the giveaways.

Rockstar revealed a GTA V skinned PS4 in September, featuring the Rockstar and GTA V logos on a yellow, black, and white console.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire sales passed the 3 million

The exact number sits in the region of 3,040,000, with 1,534,593 of those coming from Japan alone according to Famitsu (via Gematsu). The rest were made up from sales in both North America and Australia, where the game launched last Friday.

Ubisoft offering Free Games Following a rocky launch for Assassin's Creed Unity

Following a rocky launch for Assassin's Creed Unity, Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat apologized for the issues and is offering free DLC to all owners of the game.

"I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team," Mallat said. "These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential."

He continued, "To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free."

The eligible games are listed below. If you purchased Assassin's Creed Unity Gold Edition, which includes the season pass, you're entitled to a free game as well. Ubisoft is still in the process of setting up a system to process this offer, and will share an update soon.
The Crew
Far Cry 4
Watch Dogs
Assassin's Creed Black Flag
Rayman Legends
Just Dance 2015

Note: The season pass is no longer for sale.

Once the Dead Kings DLC is available, you'll be able to find it through an in-game link. No release date is announced for it yet, but Ubisoft says it's "coming soon."

Patch 3 for Assassin's Creed Unity is rolling out this week, with over 300 fixes for stability, gameplay, progression and more. Ubisoft has said that "While you might notice some improvements to framerate as a result of Patch 3, we still have a future patch planned to further address framerate concerns."

Activision is calling in its crack team of elite copyright lawyers in take-down strikes against YouTubers who reveal cheats and exploits in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Activision is calling in its crack team of elite copyright lawyers in take-down strikes against YouTubers who reveal cheats and exploits in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Eurogamer reports that YouTube network Machinima recently issued an email warning to its affiliates, that Activision is on the warpath. "Activision is being particularly vigilant about their Call of Duty videos lately; issuing strikes on videos showing glitches. If you post videos highlighting these glitches, your channel may be liable to receive a copyright strike so please be careful," stated the email.

Activision says that it's focused on video posts that reveal unfair advantages and tricks to multiplayer competitors. "We're excited that so many fans are having fun playing the game and posting videos of their gameplay," offered a company statement. "We love watching the videos ourselves. Occasionally, some folks post videos that promote cheating and unfair exploits. As always, we keep an eye out for these videos. Our level of video claims hasn't changed."

Copyright take-downs deprive YouTubers of advertising revenues from videos. Multiple takedowns can cause the cancellation of an account.

Curve Studios today announced White Space

Curve Studios today announced White Space, a procedurally-generated spaceship shooter in the early stages of development.

Players will take control of a bounty hunter whose mission is to fly around the universe and land on planets to complete missions, Curve says in a development diary.

“The goal really is to take out your target as a bounty hunter,” says design director Jonathan Biddle. “You enter a system and there are a number of planets there. You go to the bounty hunter headquarters in each system and you’ll be hunting down missions.”

The indie studio who developed and ported the recently released Stealth Inc. 2 and The Swapper for Wii U, respectively, began development on White Space roughly 18 months ago. It is not known which platforms the game will be released on.

No release date has been given.

Telltale Games has finally released some info about the Upcoming Game of Thrones series..

Telltale Games has finally opened the book on its highly-anticipated new Game of Thrones series and has revealed information on the house upon which the story is based, locations we'll be visiting, and has confirmed a host of platforms (including PS4 and Xbox One). The news comes via the Telltale Games blog.

Telltale’s Game of Thrones will focus on House Forrester, a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover and loyal to the Starks, the Forresters have not appeared in HBO’s TV series to date but are canon within George R. R. Martin’s novels, appearing in the book ‘A Dance with Dragons’.

Telltale’s series will focus on House Forrester’s quest to stave off doom amidst to tumult of The War of the Five Kings. Their house motto, Iron From Ice, is also the name of the premiere episode.

The Forrester stronghold, Ironrath, is strategically located on the edge of the largest ironwood forest in Westeros. As such House Forrester controls the majority of the valuable ironwood forests in the Wolfswood, which has earned them the ire of their rivals, House Whitehill.

Ironrath will be joined by more familiar locations, such as King’s Landing and The Wall, as some of the places Telltale’s Game of Thrones will take us.

The events in the game series start towards the end of season three of the TV show and conclude just before the beginning of season five. The game will unfold from multiple points of view, like the TV series, with five different playable characters (either direct family members, or a person in service to House Forrester). Telltale explains these characters will be scattered across Westeros and Essos and that the actions of one character can ripple out and impact the rest of House Forrester.

Telltale promises additional details are coming, although stopped short of confirming a release date (the premiere “will be arriving for download soon”). Telltale’s Game of Thrones will be available on PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and iOS, with additional platforms to be announced.

Telltale released the first official image hinting at the look of the game yesterday following a series of three cryptic teasers that began in late August.

Avalanche Studios Just announced it's new game...

Just Cause 3!

The third game in Avalanche Studios' open-world action series, is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year.

Game Informer revealed the game as part of its December cover story, which places the game in the Mediterranean. It will feature "vastly improved parachute and grapple mechanics," as well as the same strong focus on crazy physics and mayhem.

PS4 Share Play Blocked for Advanced Warfare?!

The PlayStation 4 edition of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare blocks Share Play functionality, GameSpot can confirm.

Internal tests at GameSpot show that Activision has marked all gameplay footage as censored, which does not affect the owner's console, but ensures that gameplay cannot be streamed to another user.

Activision's block on Share Play functionality comes little more than a week after Sony claimed the feature would work on all games. It marks the latest setback for Sony, following weeks of major network and update problems.

Share Play allows two PS4 owners to play the same single copy of a game over the Internet. The owner is designated as the host, and can stream gameplay footage to a guest console. The host can relinquish control of the game to the guest too, effectively giving another user the chance to play without paying.

While Share Play is limited to sixty minutes per session, users can return to the mode immediately after the time ends. There is no cap on Share Play sessions either, meaning that a game can effectively be shared indefinitely.

When the concept was presented during a media briefing in late October, Sony was questioned by GameSpot about whether all third-party publishers were on board with the system.

At the time, Sony representatives told GameSpot that Share Play works across all PS4 games. When asked whether publishers could opt-out, the representatives suggested that there was no existing option to do this.

When asked to clarify on the matter further, the representatives offered an unequivocal indication that Share Play will work on all released PS4 games, providing they do not need an additional peripheral.

However, built into the system is a "censor" option for publishers, which was intended to circumvent spoilers being revealed to a guest console. Though it was thought this censor would be limited to certain scenes only, Activision appears to have extended it across an entire game.

Representatives for Sony and Activision were unable to comment at the time of going to press.

Update: Sony has issued GameSpot with statement clarifying that not all games will work with Share Play.

A representative for the company said: "Share Play is a system level feature enabled by System Software Update 2.0 making it available for all PS4 titles, however the option is available to developers to disable the feature according to what they feel will best benefit the consumer experience." Update ends.

Thanks To GameSpot for the Update!!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be receiving sixteen! DLC packages

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be receiving sixteen! DLC packages, free of charge across all platforms.

Marcin IwiÅ„ski, CEO of Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt RED, has penned a rallying, pro-consumer statement around the announcement.

"As gamers, we nowadays have to hold on tight to our wallets, as surprisingly right after release, lots of tiny pieces of tempting content materialize with a steep price tag attached," said IwiÅ„ski. "Haven’t we just paid a lot of cash for a brand new game?

"As CD PROJEKT RED, we strongly believe this is not the way it should work and, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we have decided to do it differently. Cutting to the chase, everyone who buys Wild Hunt will receive 16 specially prepared DLCs absolutely for free, regardless of platform. You don’t have to pre-order, you don’t have to buy any special edition to get them -- if you own a copy of Wild Hunt, they’re yours. This is our way of saying thank you for buying our game."

Some people are getting banned from Smash Bros. for 136 years...

If you do something against the rules in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, you could get banned … for more than a century.

Players are reporting bans in excess of 71.5 million minutes in the latest four-player fighting game from Nintendo. This is likely a bug that is inflating legitimate bans. You can get locked out of online multiplayer if you target one player over everyone else or if you quit early. I've personally had one instance where the game banned me for 2 minutes for accidentally quitting a match early. But I've never seen anything like this:

Nintendo's president hints at an end to region-locking

Nintendo's Wii U and 3DS are the last of the current platforms to be region-locked, causing plenty of frustration for Western fans of titles that haven't or won't see release in their markets. In a Q&A with investors, according to a translation, company president Satoru Iwata indicated a willingness to rethinking the policy.

To be sure, according to the translation (via Zelda Informer), Iwata lays some of the decision to region-lock at the feet of publishers. He noted that "region-locking has existed due to circumstances on the sellers' side rather than for the sake of the customers." This is because of issues of licensing, localization and marketing, all of which involve money.

"As for what should be done going forward, if unlocked for the benefit of the customers, there may also be a benefit for us. Conversely, unlocking would require various problems to be solved, so while I can't say today whether or not we intend to unlock, we realize that it is one thing that we must consider looking to the future."

Of course, region-locking also meant that Western customers couldn't import Super Smash Bros. on 3DS and play it before their localized release three weeks later. In any event, any action on region locking is probably a long ways off, and would at least require some new hardware release. The New Nintendo 3DS just launched in Japan and should arrive in North America and Europe in 2015.

Dying Light Cancelled..

Polish developer Techland has announced upcoming free-running zombie title Dying Light will no longer release on Xbox 360 or PS3.

A post on the studio's Facebook suggests too many compromises would be required in order to get the older systems to run the title yet "stay true to the core vision".

You can read the full post Here

Dying Light hits PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 27 in North America, January 28 in Australasia and January 30 Europe.

Destiny the Dark Below Expansion release date!

Bungie has announced Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, will be available on December 9 for $19.99 / £19.99 as a standalone purchase, or as part of the $34.99 / £34.99 Season pass which also offers the second expansion, House of Wolves.

The developer has also gone into details about what new content we'll be seeing to justify that purchase price. Along with the expected new weapons and armour, the Light Level cap will raise to 32 with five new bounty slots also added.

The expanded story will apparently focus on new character Eris, who has spent years hiding among the Hive only to come forward bearing a warning. The Hive are apparently trying to summon a god, Crota, to destroy Earth. Eris will be found in the Tower where she'll offer you special quests including three new missions where you can increase your Light and get new rewards.

Other additions include a new co-operative Strike, The Will of Crota, which pits you against Omnigul as she works to expand Crota's Hive army, and a new six-player Raid, Crota's End, where you enter the Hellmouth presumably to take the deity on.

On the PvP front, there are three new arenas: Pantheon, set in the Black Garden inside a Vex temple with tight corridors; Skyshock, an old interplanetary defense array; and The Cauldron, an abandoned Hive ritual site focused on close combat.

Additionally, PlayStation platforms will get another co-operative Strike called The Undying Mind.

Outlast2

The news came from Red Barrels co-founder Philippe Morin, who told Bloody Disgusting that while it will be some time yet before the game is ready, the studio is working on it. "After shipping the Xbox One version of Outlast, we took some time to analyze our situation and we quickly realized we had at least another horror game in us," he said. "So, yes, we are working on Outlast 2."

Morin didn't reveal anything in the way of details, saying that "part of the fun of playing a horror game is the sense of discovery and progressively understand wtf is going on," but players won't be returning to Mount Massive in the sequel.

"The game will be a survival horror experience and it will take place in the same universe as Outlast, but it will have different characters and a different setting," he said. "We might go back to Mount Massive Asylum one day, but for now we have new ideas and themes we’d like to explore and we think we’re cooking up something special."

Destiny Offline?!

Destiny Offline?!

With a handful of updates incoming, Destiny will be offline for several hours on Tuesday, October 7.

This was announced by Bungie, who warned of its offline status via Twitter and elaborated on the planned fixes being made through the update.

"Most of the changes included in this update will improve the technology that enables players to connect to Destiny," the blog update reads. "The player experience will remain unchanged, aside from the stability for some users who have encountered issues connecting to servers."

This update will begin at 7am Pacific Time, during which Destiny will not be playable.
