Real Jurassic park!

Mr Clive Palmer, a mining tycoon who is already in the progress of building his own Titanic replica that will be complete in 2016, is now in the process of building a dinosaur park on his coastal resort. He applied for permission last year,

and it's now been approved, following locals' concerns that it might lower the place's reputation. (Why on earth they would think that a dinosaur park would lower anything's reputation is beyond me.)

40 dinosaurs have already been delivered and 70 more are on their way, says the Coolum Resort website, all of which can move their limbs and tails and blink and breathe fire (possibly). Some of these robots will be 25 to 30 feet high, and are made in China. "Work is well underway at the site to ensure the dinosaurs blend seamlessly into the natural vegetation and create a realistic prehistoric environment that will be entertaining, informative and educational," it reads.

Resort manager Schoch paints a picture of the park's realism. "The dinosaur park is set among natural surroundings - the trees are real, the rainforest is real. The only things that aren't real are the dinosaurs whereas other places in the world would have everything fake.”

Just as well the dinosaurs aren't real, I suppose. We all know how that turned out. The picture above is of one of the awesom lizards on the way to the park - you can see more at the Palmer Coolum Resort website.
