Black Friday Wal-Mart Videogames

You know, I’m thinking it’s about time to consider changing the term Black Friday to Black Thursday. Retailers are barely letting people finish Thanksgiving dinner before opening their doors to offer some one-time deals. We’ve got a list of other Black Friday sales going already, and now we an add Walmart to the list. Walmart will start its Black Friday dealings from 6pm-7pm on Thursday, November 28. It’s also bringing back the 1-hour in stock guarantee for select items.

As the term suggests, Walmart promises certain items won’t be sold out for at least one hour. If the item does sell out within an hour, Walmart will sell you a guarantee card that ensures you’ll get the item at the Black Friday price before Christmas. Each card is limited to one item per customer.

It was speculated that Naughty Dog would wait to announce any information about the DLC for the game until after the release of Grand Theft Auto V. With this information, we hope Naughty Dog will give a release date as well as pricing for the DLC of The Last of Us.

The Last of Us’ New Multiplayer Mode

The new mode – called Interrogation – will come with patch 1.03, meaning the mode will be available completely free of charge.

Interrogation mode is "complicated," according to multiplayer designer Robert Ryan, but the crux of the mode is this: find and raid your opponents’ safe by interrogating fallen players via special executions. Your team must collectively interrogate five opponents to find the location of their lockbox, and interrogations take quite a bit longer than a special execution, leaving you susceptible to attack.

Interrogation comes in two waves – collecting information and then cracking the enemy safe – and you can only do the latter task by successfully completing the former task.

Patch 1.03 also comes with five significant fixes, listed below.
When reviving a teammate, your range has been increased.
Item bin locations have been rebalanced in some places.
Special executions can now be halted by teammates.
Matchmaking has been improved.
Item spawns have been tweaked to not give teams too many items.

The Last of Us DLC Details Coming Soon

Naughty Dog has delivered word that the first real details on the upcoming downloadable content for The Last of Us will be coming soon. In a Reddit Ask Me Anything, game director Bruce Straley and creative director Neil Druckmann were repeatedly asked for details on the highly anticipated DLC. While neither of the two were willing to offer up any specifics on what the DLC may entail, Druckmann did state, "News is on the way about the first DLC drop. Should hear about it this month," presumably referring to some point in August. Straley reiterated what we already knew from the announcement of The Last of Us Season Pass, which is that there are plans for one single-player story DLC and two multiplayer DLC releases. The latter seems likely to center around new maps, but it's anyone's guess as to when the single-player DLC will be set or which characters it will include, although Druckmann did concede that some characters from the game will be returning. When asked if there will ever be any additional story content centering around Joel and Ellie, the game's two protagonists, Druckmann said, "It's possible. We're playing with some ideas, but no direction has been set yet for the next game." This shouldn't be taken as confirmation of a second Last of Us being developed, as it was made clear several times that, at least publicly, Naughty Dog is undecided on what game the Last of Us team will be working on next. To date, the only DLC available for The Last of Us has come in the form of pre-order bonuses and content included with special editions of the game consisting of extra skins, bonuses for multiplayer, and early access to upgrades in the single-player mode.
