NFL Draft channel coming to XBox One

Microsoft announced today that an all-new NFL Draft channel — as part of the NFL app — is coming to Xbox One, which will allow users to follow the three-day event on their home console.

The NFL Draft experience on Xbox One is also snappable, which lets users follow their favorite team's latest picks while watching Netflix or playing a game of Titanfall. And ahead of the draft, Microsoft says that Xbox Live Gold members can watch videos of top prospects and see expert's assessments of every NFL team, whether it's the Carolina Panthers or Seattle SeaHawks

"The control we give to fans is what makes our system unique,” said David Jurenka, executive producer of sports at Xbox. “If your team drafts Johnny Manziel and you want to see some clips of him, you can just jump in and do that. We’re taking what has traditionally been a passive TV experience and making it interactive and personalized.”

And after the NFL Draft ends, which starts Thursday and runs through Saturday, the NFL app will update over time to feature preseason content, staying fresh for users. The NFL app — and draft experience — is available now on Xbox One.
