What we learned of the Story wise.

The crew (Tyler, Jess and Mac) have learned that The House are transporting a car equipped with a new piece of technology that may be a key component in bringing them down. This calls for one thing: acquire the car, get hold of the tech and dent The House's plans. The Highway Heist is one of the set piece moments that takes place within *Need for Speed *Payback's single player campaign which follows the story of Tyler, Jess and Mac as they set out to bring down The House. Here's a gameplay trailer

NBA Live 18 will combine street ball with NBA tournament play.. That's really all we know so far.

Next up was a nice surprise
A Way Out

EA will also be publishing a new game called A Way Out, which is being made by the people behind Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. It’s a cinematic prison break game where you control one of two unlikely partners thrown together in a common cause. The game is built entirely as a co-op experience, meaning you can’t play it solo,

Next up was BioWare’s New Game Anthem.

We also got a teaser for Anthem, a brand new series from BioWare. It looks like a sci-fi game with lush environments, big monsters and characters who wear suits of power armor. And that was it! EA says it’ll they’ll share more at the Microsoft press conference tomorrow.

And last but not least was Star Wars: Battlefront II

EA dedicated the entire back half of their show to Star Wars: Battlefront II, focusing mostly on multiplayer, which will span all eras of Star Wars. All post-release multiplayer add-ons will be free this time around, meaning that everyone will be able to keep playing the game “for years to come,” according to presenter Janina Gavankar. (Gavankar, who plays the main character in Battlefront II’s single player)

They then showed a bunch of live multiplayer gameplay set on a map on Naboo. EA says the game will have more vehicles, more customization, more abilities, more classes, and more options in general. They also say they’ve fine-tuned the gunplay so that everything feels better than it did in the first game.

And that is it from EA. Tell us what you think over on twitter @TgtPodcast and follow @TgtRick for live coverage

Call of duty/Medal of Honor Killer?!

Flashback to over a decade ago: you couldn’t move in a newsagent without seeing a video game magazine that had ‘Halo/Mario/GTA killer’ as a massive coverline spread across an image of some new video game. The idea of one game ‘killing’ another was embedded deep in the lexicon of gamers and the gaming press back in the day. To the extent that, in development, the very first Call of Duty was actively being referred to as ‘Medal of Honor Killer’ early in development, reports MCV.

That was what the game was actually called. That was its placeholder name in the beginning.

“The project was actually named ‘MOH killer’ until an official name could be found,” explained former Infinity Ward artist Justin Thomas.

The original Call of Duty was actually developed by many of the folks who worked on the Medal of Honor franchise all those years ago so, in that sense, the title made sense.

“We were focused more on fun than success,” Thomas continued, “with the idea that if it was fun, it would be successful. We were just going to make a great game, and do the things better than we did on previous projects. The great thing is that a team learns from previous projects.”

Good news and bad news for Warhammer Online players

Warhammer Online, due for a shutdown in mid-December, has gone free-to-play as a "parting gift" to those who had an account in good standing as of Thursday. "We will be adding new NPCs to the game in order to power up your characters," Mythic promises.

GTA 5 sales crosses 1 billion dollars in just three days

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5), released on September 17, 2013 has crossed the $1 billion sales mark in just three days since launch. 56 per cent of Grand Theft Auto 5 sales comes from Xbox 360, with the remainder on PS3.

This is the biggest selling game of all time. It was released on 17 September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

The first Grand Theft Auto was released in the year 1997 by Scottish games developer Dave Jones and his company DMA Games.

Within one day of release, Grand Theft Auto V fetched more than $800 million in revenue, selling around 13 million copies, exceeding the previous first-day sales record of $500 million set by Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two said, “We believe this marks the fastest that any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone.” He added, “We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto 5.”

Take-Two Interactive Software stated, “Grand Theft Auto V has achieved worldwide retail sales of more than $1 billion during its first three days on sale, according to our estimates.”

Computerandvideogames.com digital manager John Houlihan said, “GTA V has been worth the five-year wait.”

The previous version Grand Theft Auto IV was released in 2008. According to some estimates of analysts, Take-Two’s Rockstar Games studio developed the game GTA 5 at a cost of between $200 million and $250 million and took more than five years to develop.

Call of duty ghost news

Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin has hinted at a new Call of Duty: Ghosts mode called Squads. On Twitter, Rubin posted a short video showing off a Squads menu, including tabs for Options, Online Play and a third option that isn’t visible.

Rubin didn’t provide any other details, but Infinity Ward did confirm last week that Ghosts’ multiplayer reveal is set for August 14th, so expect to find out more info then. Previously, Infinity Ward hinted that Ghosts has some kind of co-op mode, but specifics haven’t been revealed. Infinity Ward included cooperative Spec Ops missions in Modern Warfare 2 and 3, but whether or not that mode will return (or if Squads will replace it) is still unknown.
