Ubisoft new franchise

Ubisoft is teasing the reveal of a new franchise at Gamescom next month. In an announcement of its Gamescom lineup today, Ubisoft said it will “share details on a new next-gen IP currently in development during the show,” though no other details were provided. The tease may be referring to Child of Light, the new game from Far Cry 3 creative director Patrick Plourde that Ubisoft previously said will be revealed at GDC Europe (which takes place in the days leading up to Gamescom). Gamescom will run from August 21-25 in Cologne, Germany. Ubisoft’s lineup will also include Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, The Crew, Rayman Legends and Splinter Cell Blacklist.
